To begin, paint the outside of the
detonator/O2 canister the same gray you used on the
ears/frown.
Once they dry, you need to attach the two
halves to form a tube. The directions suggested hot glue, but I have
no idea how you'd get even a mini-glue gun in there. I simply held
them together & swabbed the joint with ABS cement. I then
placed(not glued) the end-caps on. By the next day it was a surprisingly
strong bond.
The next step is to apply the Mylar
stickers. Just make sure that there's no gray showing between where
the caps will be, & where the outside piece will be. See the
picture for details.
You might get a few bubbles you can't work out, but just make sure that
they're at the back with the seams.
Finally, I sanded off the gray paint underneath where the outside plate
would go. I them ABS cemented it in place as the directions
show.
For now, it is attached to the belt with
white, IS Velcro.
