After failing to be totally satisfied with my costuming for Episode I, I decided that I would have to spend a little more $$$ for the opening of Attack of the Clones. This time I knew several months ahead of time that I wanted to go as a Jedi. I decided to go as a "Anakin-styled" Jedi. I DID find online sources this time, & I ended up getting lots of things on Ebay. It started with an Anakin Costume. It was custom-made to my measurements & while it was not 100% accurate I was fairly happy with the outcome for the money I spent. There were some very accurate pieces around, like $200+ boots, but I settled for lower-cost alternatives like rubber riding boots. During that time I also started acquiring parts to build replica light sabers online & (cheaply) converted an ANH-styled Darth Vader saber into one similar to Anakin's in Episode II, complete with Comtec clips! I'm hoping to make some upgrades to this costume, but I've already gotten a few good Halloweens out of it. |
